Our Donors and Volunteers Are Lifesavers!
One of our patients, Tony, has diabetes, high blood pressure, COPD and chronic depression. He needs frequent interactions with our team of healthcare providers and volunteers. With a $5,000 deductible, there would be no way he could afford all of the visits, medications, and testing supplies needed.
Through our Charitable Care Program, we can ensure Tony receives the comprehensive care he needs to continue to work to support his family!

The Viola Startzman Clinic was founded on, and continues to rely on, the generosity of our volunteers and donors committing their time, talent and resources to care for the most vulnerable patients in Wayne County and beyond.
Work With Us
Our current staff consists of several doctors, nurses, dentists, and healthcare providers of many specialities, and continues to expand.
Volunteer
Today, over 400 volunteers support our Clinic. We welcome volunteers for many roles, and work with volunteers to coordinate scheduling preferences. Many licensed volunteers are eligible to receive continuing education credits for volunteers at The Clinic.

Over half of our patients are uninsured or have high deductibles that make health care unaffordable to them. Less than 2% of our budget in 2016 came from insurance reimbursement. We are so grateful for our donors who allow us to serve over 4,000 patients each year, regardless of their
ability to pay!
